Gaz became an actor following retirement from a successful sporting career as a Paralympian. Born in Pakistan, Gaz had to have his right leg amputated when he was 10 years old due to bone cancer. After moving to the UK Gaz began to play wheelchair basketball, and became so successful that he formed part of the Great Britain wheelchair basketball squad at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Paralympics, winning Bronze medals in the latter two. Gaz's other acting work includes 2023's Extrapolations.
