Chris's mother was CBS news reporter Jeanne Parr (his dad died in a car accident when Chris was 12). In 2015, Chris was named GQ's International Man of the Year. He is married to Canadian actress Tara Wilson. He is the co-owner of the New York City bar The Cutting Room. Between 1990-95 Chris was in a relationship with model Beverly Johnson, but when they split up Johnson filed a restraining order against him, accusing him of physical, verbal and racial abuse. In 2021, Chris was accused of sexual assault by two women (in 2004 and 2015), which he denied, and of "sexually inappropriate" behaviour on the set of Law and Order: Criminal Intent in 2005 by actor Zoe Lister-Jones. Further allegations of sexual assault and inappropriate behaviour followed, including one from singer Lisa Gentile, resulting in Chris being dropped by his acting agency, and a TV commercial for Peloton being taken off air.
